About Introduction to Coaching
This course will give you a clear understanding of what coaching is and is not. By engaging in this course, you will value coaching as an essential part of your role, knowing it is necessary to influence change. You will be empowered to build upon your strengths while understanding that coaching is a journey, and skills can only be enhanced through deliberate practice over time. As such, you will practice and receive feedback on key foundational coaching skills and establish a coaching environment in which others will thrive.

Course Outcomes
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Demonstrate how coaching is a part of your role by communicating to your direct reports what they can expect from you as a coach.
- Integrate a variety of coaching activities into your regular practice by planning for and reflecting on implementation of new activities.
- Implement active listening and effective questioning techniques by evaluating and improving upon your current skill set.
- Identify key areas to know about your coachees and evaluate the impact that knowledge has on your coaching.
